Bras have come a very long way.  They can support, push up and enhance…but can they respond to love? Ravijour, a Japanese lingerie company, celebrates their 10 year anniversary with a smart prototype. The True Love Tester is “a revolutionary bra that knows how women truly feel.  This innovative bra cannot be unhooked…without true love.  When falling in love, we experience an instant boost in  excitement.  That feeling is unlike any other excitement we encounter in life. When excited, the adrenal medulla secretes catecholamine, which affects the autonomic nerve and stimulates the heart rate.  A built-in sensor reads the woman’s heart rate signal and sends it to a special app via Bluetooth for analysis.  The app then calculates the True Love Rate based on changes in the heart rate over time.  When the True Love Rate exceeds a certain value, the bra hook is unlocked automatically.  Until now, the bra was a piece of clothing to remove, but now it is an instrument to test for true love.  Women always seek true love.  Ravijour believes this bra will become a friend of women around the world.”

As interesting as this all may sound, the True Love Tester remains a concept and currently not on the market for purchase.  Regardless, we are not too far away from our lives being dramatically changed with wearable tech.  It all starts with an idea…
