The growing popularity of wearable tech is getting attention in many magazines. In the February issue of Elle magazine (USA edition), Rebecca Minkoff’s latest foray gets noticed:
“The layered, personal wrist has been a trend for the past few seasons, but now your fashion statement gets a digital update. Stay connected on the go with this stylish and innovative bracelet that also keeps your phone charged. It’s the definition of function meets fashion.” This item will soon be available at Nordstrom for $58.
Time magazine’s January 26th issue notes the new smart belt that will automatically loosen after you’ve eaten too much. It’s called “Belty” by the French start-up company who developed it. It is an early working prototype with hopes of reaching the luxury market by the end of this year. For more information, visit: www.emiota.com
