The Japanese are no strangers to technology. In fact, they are a culture that embrace and integrate it seamlessly into their everyday lives. Undercover, the Japanese label designed by Jun Takahashi, debuted his latest men’s collection this week in Paris. What is most significant about it is its integration of wearable tech in a simple, yet significant way. Certain outerwear pieces (i.e. jackets, coats) feature a see-through front pocket constructed especially to accommodate Apple’s latest iPhone6. Everybody can see your screen-saver, so it becomes a customized, personalized “embellishment.” Undercover’s line is set for retail this autumn.
