Last night, the music industry celebrated the 57th annual Grammy Awards. Never one to disappoint, the red carpet was full of fashion do’s and don’ts. Yet instead of focusing on mass style, I have zeroed in on the more tech-related outfits.
Joy Villa is an actress and singer who exposed most of her body under an orange dress (designed by www.andresoriano.com) made out of plastic snow guard fencing (UV resistant and does not corrode).
Bleona Qereti, otherwise known as the Madonna of Albania, wore a bronze metal one-piece bikini with a long black tulle that made me think of what a cyborg celebrity might look like.
My personal favorite and most likely to reach mass approval and integration is Pharrel William’s outfit. Known for successful collaborations in both the music and fashion industries, Pharrell wore an Adidas shorts suit made out of silver reflective material that turned white upon being photographed. He currently has a design project with Adidas and will be interesting to see if his Grammy wardrobe is a sign of what is to come.
