Technology is already giving us clothes that sparkle and even display our thoughts across them. But I also want to be able to care for them and not worry about getting them wet in fear of malfunctions. Am I speaking so far out into the future? Not really. Switch Embassy is a startup in San Francisco, California that is working on a completely washable material that illuminates on command from your smartphone. Actually, clothing connected to your cell is not at all a far-fetched idea considering that fitness trackers are already doing that. Switch Embassy is currently working on some prototypes (tshirts and purse). I am ready for their debut date…coming soon. Until then, should you happen to have a B.A. degree in engineering, applied mathematics or physics, they are looking for a new team member.
