I wear scarves during winter. Not because I want to but because I feel I have to (snow). I own several to make sure I remain color coordinated. That being said, I view my scarves as utilitarian and not much else (certainly not conversational pieces). Then along came Neffa Studio and their Chameleon Mood Scarf. It just happens to be sensitive to light or lack thereof due to its phase-changing inks. Meaning, depending on my surroundings, my scarf will transform its colors similar to a chameleon’s changeability. If it’s dark outside, count on this scarf to start to glow. Yet, if I walk out onto sunshine, its white print will turn orange. Although this scarf remains a prototype, I am crossing my fingers that it will miraculously make it to the retail sector before winter’s arrival.
