Women who cover their face and/or body due to their religious and cultural beliefs are a sensitive matter.   Recently they were the object of a successful Kickstarter campaign.  Ahmad Ghanem is launching the world’s first line of climate friendly hijabs called Veil.  Appropriately named Cool Dry, the material used not only reflects sunlight but it also keeps women 10 degrees cooler than wearing other traditionally made hijabs.  It’s also waterproof with perspiration wicking and has stain management capabilities.  Veil’s debut collection will retail for $19.00 each and will be available in three colors.  I applaud this gentleman’s efforts and actions in seeking to enhance the lives of women through fashion and technological innovation.
