Nobody likes to have to wait for medical results but at some point it is something that most of us, if not all, will go through.  When it comes to being tested for sexually transmitted diseases, having to wait until you know where you stand is cause for anxiety. Introducing Hoope, an unassuming looking thumb ring that can diagnose certain STDs in less than a minute. Once slid on, an electric generator numbs the skin.  By pushing a button on the ring, a needle pokes through the skin and collects a blood sample. Hoope’s built-in smart chip will perform the test and electronically send the results to your cell phone. Hoope has an upcoming crowdsourcing campaign coming up with plans to make its debut next year and retail for $50.
