A few years ago, Katy Perry wore a couture dress that lit up and glowed at the MET Gala.  That gown was created by CuteCircuit, a London-based company that fuses fashion with interactive technology.  Inspired by the overwhelming response, (including the front cover of WWD-Women’s Wear Daily) CuteCircuit has created a ready-to-wear version of that iconic garment.  The K-Dress is made from hand-pleated silk chiffon and comes in 2 different hem lengths.  Embedded LEDs glow according to the pattern and color you choose.  It carries a detachable control device that connects to your computer USB port for charging.  In a Twitter conversation with CuteCircuit, the company stated that, “The K-Dress charges in under two hours but lasts much longer so you can sparkle through the night.”  The K-Dress is available in several colors and can be purchased through CuteCircuit’s online store with prices starting around $2,000.
